Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka shankar is a British and American sitar player. She also plays music. She is the youngest female and the first to be awarded the British House of Commons shield. Anoushka Shankar is the hottest star on the Indian sitar. She is the daughter and pupil of Ravi Shankar. She was born in London in 1982 and spent her early years shuttling between London as well as New Delhi. At the age of 13, she gave her debut performance on stage in New Delhi. Later she moved in Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Anouskha is yet to be a mature woman however she's got an remarkable career in the field of singing and recording. She regularly performs alongside her father and has done so for many years. In 1998 she released her first self-titled album Anourag. The Grammy Award-winning live at Carnegie Hall was released two years following her debut solo album. Because she has performed on every major stage in all over the globe, her stage career has been extensive. Anoushka Shankar's career is not limited to music. In 2002, she wrote the book Bapi The of My Life. of My Live this is a pictorial biography which is a respect to her dad Ravi Shankar. In 2003, she was the role of a Bharat Natyam dancer in Dance Like a Man. Anoushka shankar is a rising superstar and her fame is expected to continue growing. Anoushka was raised in England however, she spent the majority of her childhood between London and Delhi. She then moved to California and went to high school. She began studying music at the age nine and was a sitar player to commemorate the 75th anniversary of her father's birth in Delhi four years later. Anoushka gained a lot of knowledge by traveling the world along with her father. She performed at Carnegie Hall in her teenage years, and recorded at George Harrison's WOMAD Festival. Her musicianship and talent was recognised by British parliament as the best at Asian Arts.
