Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student in Sante Fe New Mexico. Her family then moved to Ohio and she continued her interest in performing on theatre. Anna attended the British American Drama Academy and was a theatre student through Northwestern University. Anna worked by the theater in the Chicago region for a couple of years, before attempting her hand at television as well as films. Anna had her biggest break in the year 1992, when she portrayed Arden for 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Anna continued to be a guest star in a few TV movies and shows like Seinfeld and NYPD Blue up to the end of 90's when she appeared in a regular role as Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character that she played for a period of two seasons on Deadwood's season two. In 2008, she was cast in the role of Skyler as Skyler in Breaking Bad. Sully was another of her roles. Gunn was also on the stage to play in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. She also had a role in Numbered Day, a podcast consisting of four audio plays. Breaking Bad is often centered around the love story between Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their conflicted relationship and their eventual break up echoes last years of Walter White's life.
